According to US media reports, the 52-year-old Pakistani-American child specialist was stabbed by 24-year-old Miles Joseph Fridrich.

Police say 52-year-old Dr. Talat, a mother of two, was sitting with her dog in Conroe when the suspect, Miles Joseph Friedrich, allegedly attacked her with a knife.

After Dr. Talat’s murder, the 24-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of first-degree murder. Conroe police said the man in custody is accused of assaulting a doctor at the Ellis Apartments around 12:30 p.m. and then fleeing on foot.

The suspect was arrested after witnesses to the crime provided details to authorities. After the tragic incident, a witness came out with his sword after hearing the noise.

The daughter of the deceased is 14 years old while the son is 23 years old. Talat Jahan Khan’s niece Mah Noor says that my aunt was very kind and loving, “This is an irreparable loss for our family, which is completely unexpected.”

The deceased, a pediatrician by profession, moved to the Houston area from Seattle several months ago and was reportedly ‘loved’ by hundreds of her patients along with her family.

Wajahat Niaz said his slain sister had moved to the area from Seattle in July to enjoy the climate of the area. “She loved seeing the sun and the warm weather, so that was one of the main reasons she came here,” he said.
