The rupee declined against the dollar in the first trading session of the week at the interbank foreign exchange market on Monday.
The local currency shed 38 paisas against the greenback to reach Rs280.95 at the closing of the market, as against the closing of Rs280.57 on Friday.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a positive session as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 539.09 points or 1.06% to reach 51,482.92 levels at the closing of the market on Monday.
Similarly, the KSE-30 Index gained 152.79 points or 0.87% to reach 17,650.16 levels at the closing of the trading session.
