Former police inspector Abid Boxer along with his three accomplices escaped from police custody on Friday, police said.
Boxer was arrested along with his guards from his residence in Lahore when they snatched the rifles of the police officials and escaped, they added.
The former police official was arrested after he issued threats to police officials. The Special Investigation Unit arrested Boxer from his resident in Model Town and was moved to ATC Model Town police station, they said.
Meanwhile, Boxer’s family alleged that the raiding party apprehended 15 employees during the raid on the house, and broke the cameras placed in the house.
