Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he had spoken with Isreali PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday and reiterated his support for Israel.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Modi said that people of India stood firmly with Israel in their ‘difficult hour’.
“India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he wrote
Earlier, he had expressed deep shock at the deaths in Israel.
Israel began air raids in the Gaza Strip, hours after Hamas launched a barrage of rockets into Israel follwoed by an invasion of land and air. Netanyahu declared that Israel ‘was at hour’ and subsequent air strikes in gaza have killed 770 people so far.
