The highest marks in the results of the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Balochistan were less than that of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, media reports said.
The highest mark obtained by a candidate was 174, which is 87%, in the MDCAT entry test in Balochistan while the highest marks secured by the candidates in KP were 198.
As many as 9,082 candidates appeared in the MDCAT entrance test for the medical colleges of Balochistan, according to reports.
The passing mark of MBBS is 55%, as per the rules.
Media reports said that this year, Bolan Medical College got 300 seats, Makran Medical College got 50 seats, 50 seats for Jhalavan Medical College, 50 seats for Loralai Medical College, 20 seats for Higher Education, 18 seats for foreign students, and 36 for other provinces have been allocated along with 524 MBBS in Balochistan while 54 seats of Bolan Medical College are reserved for BDS.

Uzra Riaz got 198 marks out of 200, securing the first position in the MDCAT results. The person in the second position had received 197 marks. There were four candidates in the third position after securing 195 marks.
MDCAT consists of multiple-choice questions. Each question carries 1 mark with no negative marking for wrong answers. The total score is 200. 68 questions are from Biology, 54 from Chemistry, 54 from Physics, 18 from English language, 6 from Logical reasoning.
