The value of the dollar against the rupee continues to fall, losing another Rs1.38.

The interbank rate fell to Rs298.50.

On Tuesday the the rupee had reached Rs299.89 after a decrease of 27 paisas.

It marked the first time in 24 days that the value of the dollar had fallen below Rs300 in the market.
