A landowner in Burewala allegedly set a woman who worked in his house on fire as she tried to escape captivity.

The woman worked in the landowner’s house and was allegedly subjected to sexual abuse for a long period of time.

However, when she tried to escape he set her on fire leading to severe burns on the woman’s arm.

An initial medical report has confirmed that she was indeed sexually assaulted. Her DNA samples have been sent to a laboratory for examination.

A statement from the woman said that her mother had found her a job at the landowner’s house. She also said that the landowner had gotten her treated at a private hospital after instances of abuse.
