Peshawar authorities have decided to cease the operation of the Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) partially on Friday in the provincial capital due to its maintenance.
BRT, a project that started in 2020, enables people to commute between destinations will not operate on Sep 1, from 10 a.m. However, the operation will resume after its maintenance.
The Transpeshawar confirmed the discontinuation of operation but did not say when it it would resume.
The Peshawar Bus Rapid Transport project began in August 2020 and was built at the cost of around Rs70 billion, the track of BRT Peshawar was 27 km long on which 220 air-conditioned buses run.
