An attack on a security scheck post in Khyber’s tehsil Bara was repelled late on Saturday night. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
Unknown men lobbed grenades and opened fire on the check post late at night. The checkpost is manned by both police and Frontier Constabulary personnel.
However, officials on duty immediately responded to the attack causing the attackers to flee.
A search operation was launched after the attack, but no arrests had been made as of Sunday morning.
It is the third time the post has been attacked in recent days.
