West Bengal CM Banerjee says Modi ‘scripted’ Pulwama attack

Mamata Banerjee, chief minister of the Indian state of West Bengal, has said that the Pulwama incident was orchestrated by the Narendra Modi government for its election campaign.

Speaking at a rally, Banerjee said that the Pulwama incident was ‘fake’ and ‘scripted’.

She added that the blood of 40 Indian soldiers had been spilled to ‘steal’ the upcoming election.

Banerjee also told the crowd that Modi coudl stage something similar to influence another election.

The Indian media has been up in arms against Banerjee’s statement, saying she is peddling conspiracy theories and insulting martyrs of the country.

Former Indian-Occupied Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has already revealed that the Pulwama attack was the result of negligence. He had also claimed that he had been told by the Modi and Amit Shah to stay silent over his concerns.

The Pulwama attack had killed 40 Indian soldiers and had led to accusations of terrorism in India being sponsored by Pakistan and had led to air strikes by both countries that led to Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman being captured.
