Bodies of three Pakistanis who perished when a migrant ship sank of the coast of Greece reached the country on Friday.
A total of 15 bodies belonging to Pakistani citizens have been identified so far, of which three have now reached home.
The bodies reached Lahore by Qatar Airways flight QR-608 which travelled from Greece via Doha.
The bodies were dispatched to the migrants’ ancestral homes in ambulances.
Among the three bodies returned were Abdul Wahid and Sufyan Abbas from Gujrat and Nasir Ali from Gujranwala.
Out of the total 15 bodies, 11 were scheduled to be sent to Lahore while three would be sent to Islamabad. Arrangements have not yet been made for the last body.
A boat carrying migrants capsized off the coast of Greece on June 14. Authorities later said that Pakistanis were the largest nationality on board.
