A Counter Terrorism Department team was attackednear Karachi’s Northern Bypass on Wednesday, leaving three officials injured.
CTD chief Raja Umar Khattab said that the attack was carried out via a motorcycle bomb that was placed near a graveyard on the route the CTD team was travelling on.
The CTD team that was attacked belonged to the intelligence wing and had been working on a mission against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants in the area. Their mobile was attacked while returning from work.
In response, all CTD mobiles and personnel in the area were summoned immediately.
Police have also issued photographs of a dismantled motorcycle and a police vehicle laden with holes from ball bearings.
