Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated with religious fervor across the country. Eid prayer gatherings were organized in all small and large cities and towns of Pakistan.
Karachi saw the largest Eid gathering at the Polo Ground.
After the Eid prayer, Muslims offered sacrifice of animal following the tradition of Prophet Ibrahimi (AS).
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a message extended Eid greetings to “the entire Pakistani nation and the world of Islam on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.”
“I pray to Allah Almighty to bless the entire nation of Islam. Accept the prayers and sacrifices”
The Prime Minister wrote, “On this holy day, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him) presented an eternal example of sacrifice by expressing their submission to Allah. Allah Ta’ala liked this act so much that He made it obligatory for the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him) as an act of worship until the Day of Judgment.”
