Cyclone Biparjoy is expected to landfall in Pakistan’s coastal belt along Sindh in a few hours on Thursday.
According to the latest updates from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the direction of the cyclone in the Arabian Sea has changed, while it will enter Pakistani territory at 11 am on Thursday and hit Kati Bandar.
Despite the reduction in the threat of the cyclone, the authorities have appealed to the citizens to take precautions as many areas of Sindh, including Karachi, may be affected by heavy rains.
However, in case of an emergency, Pakistan Disaster Management Authority Sindh has released a list of help lines for Sindh and Karachi.

Moreover, Karachi’s Defence is the most vulnerable due to its proximity to the sea. Local authorities, have also issued an emergency number for the citizens. The can contact the helpline 1092, while emergency response teams have also been deployed at various places.
