Caretaker Punjab Information Minister Amir Mir has said that the PTI leadership should hand over the “terrorists” to the police within 24 hours.
“30 to 40 people who planned the attacks are in Zaman Park, those who attacked Jinnah House are also present in Zaman Park,” claimed the minister while addressing a press conference on Wednesday.
He said that the attack on the Corps Commander House continued till 8 pm, and the attackers were in contact with the people in Zaman Park. “The person behind those attacks even told them where they have to go.”
“Zero tolerance will be kept against the miscreants, cases will be tried in anti-terrorism courts,” he added.
Sharing the details of cases against PTI workers, he said that 254 cases have been registered against 3,400 people across the province and only 78 people are on physical remand.
He further said that the process of scrutiny of the accused is going on.
The caretaker information minister said that the trial of miscreants will be held in military courts, the cases of second-tier suspects will go to the ATC, the police have been given a free hand against the miscreants, and are allowed to fire on the miscreants. “They will be brought to the end.”
Amir Mir said that PTI is becoming a non-state actor and their female workers are more violent than terrorists. “They have been threatening institutions for years and now have now started implementing these threats.”
The attacks were carried out across the country as per the plan, said the minister adding that the state writ was challenged on May 9. “Strict legal action will be taken against the accused.”
He went on to claim that the intelligence information is very dangerous.
