Israeli army kills two Palestinians after attack in West Bank

The Israeli army killed two Palestinian men after an alleged attack on an Israeli settlement in the northern West Bank.

The Israeli army said on Tuesday that soldiers fatally shot the two men after they fired shots from a car in the direction of the Elon Moreh settlement.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the men died, citing the civil administration responsible for the occupied territories.

The Israeli army said two M-16 rifles and a pistol were found during the search for other suspects at the scene.

Tensions have been growing in the occupied West Bank for months, with numerous violent clashes.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 95 Palestinians have been killed in confrontations with the Israeli army or while carrying out their own attacks since the beginning of the year.

During that period, 17 Israelis, one Italian and one Ukrainian were killed in attacks by militants.
