An Indian Sikh pilgrim visiting the Nankana Sahib died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday. A special ambulance carrying his body left for the Indian border later in the day.
Joginder Singh, 71, from Jalandhar in the Indian state of Punjab was visiting the Gurdwara Janam Asthana and arrived in Nankana Sahib on April 9 with other Sikh devotees.
Around 3,000 Sikhs from India have arrived in Pakistan to celebrate the Baisakhi festival.
Joginder Sindh experienced a cardiac event on Tuesday and was rushed to the district headquarters hospital in a Rescue 1122 ambulance. The doctors pronounced him dead.
A special ambulance later carried his body to the Indian border later in the day.
