Meta has launched the new Windows desktop application for Whatsapp with improvements in calls.
The announcement was made by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a post on Facebook stating that now you can make end-to-end encrypted video calls with up to eight people and audio calls with up to 32 people.
Meta said that since introducing new multi-device capabilities, they have made improvements including faster device linking and better syncing across devices, as well as new features like link previews and stickers.
The company is also introducing a new Mac desktop version of WhatsApp, which is currently in beta.
The new version of the WhatsApp app for Windows can be downloaded for free from here.
To use the new call features, just open a group conversation - which needs to have a maximum of eight people - and tap on the phone icon at the top of the screen.
