PSL final moved back to Saturday over rain fears

The final of the ongoing Pakistan Super League has been moved back one day from March 19 to March 18 due to a possibility of rain.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi confirmed the news in a tweet on Thursday.

“PCB and and Franchises are anxious that the Final should not be disrupted,” Sethi wrote.

The final was to be held on a Sunday, the weekend where most people have a day off and the largest crowd is expected. However, it will now be held on Saturday.

Sethi added that tickets purchased will remain valid.

Multan Sultans have already qualified for the final while the other contestant has yet to be decided.

Rains have been predicted across the country over the next week as a new system of westerly winds enters Pakistan.
