Microsoft pens deal to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo Switch

It is finally official as Microsoft has signed a deal to bring Activision Blizzard’s “Call of Duty” and other Xbox-owned games to the Switch and future Nintendo-owned platforms.

The announcement of the deal was made public by President Brad Smith on Twitter, stating that this is just part of the company’s commitment to bring Xbox games and Activision titles like Call of Duty to more players on more platforms.

Smith didn’t provide further information about the deal.

The aim is to bring Activision titled to “more players on more platforms,” which presumably means the Nintendo Switch.

The news comes after Nintendo rumoured to get its own CoD studio under Infinity Ward.

With a mention of a 10-year contract, this will take the games well beyond the current Nintendo Switch and future consoles under the company’s banner.
