ISLAMABAD: Faisal Vawda, who was once called PTI’s commando by former Sindh governor Imran Ismail, got kicked out of the party for not responding to the show cause notice within the stipulated timeline.
“You have not responded to the notice within the stipulated timeline,” said the party statement issued on Saturday. “Therefore, your membership from the party stands terminated.”
The development comes after Vawda’s rogue press conference in which Arshad Sharif was murdered and that the incumbent government was not behind his killing. He claimed that PTI chief Imran was being misled and that the PTI’s long march is going to turn bloody.
He was already expelled from the PTI’s central core committee WhatsApp group. The presser had come just two days before the PTI’s long march to Islamabad.
Vawda tweeted on Friday that he kept on informing Imran that his 26 years of political work were at risk as some party leaders were apparently trying to damage the country which benefited the Pakistan Democratic Movement.
“We were very close to an agreement. I will bring their names soon,” he said.
