KARACHI: A teacher at The Smart Children Academy sexually assaulted one of his students in Khuda Ki Basti, Surjani Town.

A case against the teacher was registered in Surjani police station on the complaint of the victim’s parents.

The teacher, Basit, used the victim’s incomplete homework as an excuse to spike her water with drugs.

When the school day ended, Basit took the girl to an empty plot where four other people were waiting, one of whom injected the victim with drugs before raping her.

The 14-year-old student is undergoing medical examination, police officials said

The investigation of the accused is underway.

Directorate Private Institution Sindh formed an inquiry committee to look into the case.

The inquiry committee will be headed by the deputy director, while the members will include a monitoring officer and others.

The inquiry committee will record the statements of the school principal, teachers, and parents today.

The committee will be bound to submit its report to the directorate within 24 hours.
