PMLN leader Miftah Ismail will no longer be at the helm of affairs in Pakistan after stepping down as the finance minister of the country.
He is vacating the seat for Ishaq Dar whose return to Pakistan is being linked to the appreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
Miftah reportedly plans to take no other government position, but people are curious about what he will be doing after leaving the finance ministry.
A Twitter user directly put the question to Miftah Ismail compelled by his curiosity and belief that Miftah Ismail has nothing better to do than to visit a restaurant.
“Hi @MiftahIsmail what is the first restaurant you are hitting when you go back to Karachi?” Farrukh Abbasi asked.
“I am going to visit Zahid, Idris & Javed Nihari houses, Al-Kebab, Ghaffar and Meerut Kebab, & Gola at Dhoraji. Many choices fortunately,” the outgoing finance minister said naming several popular restaurants in Karachi.
The decision to replace Miftah with Dar indicates that PMLN leadership was not particularly happy with his performance.
In a leaked audio clip, PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz purportedly tells Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that Miftah was uttering on TV that made so sense. This later results in him being ridiculed, she said.
