West Bengal is buying flavoured condoms like mad, but not for the reasons you think. The youth there is literally addicted to flavoured condoms but not as contraceptives.

Some students in West Bengal’s Durgapur are literally boiling flavoured condoms and drinking the water. No this is not a way to have safe sex, in fact, quite the opposite.

Apparently boiling flavoured condoms releases aromatics, which contain alcohol. When consumed, the liquid can get you high for as long as ten to 12 hours.

Shops that were selling four or five condoms a day are now selling at least four to five packets.

The aromatic compounds found in flavoured condoms are addictive and are also found in dendrites glue as well.

Condoms are now the latest on everyday household items that can be used to get high. The list includes paint, nail polish, hand sanitiser, glue, aftershave and cough syrup.
