The continuous decline in teh value of the Pakistani rupee, which hit another record low against the US dollar on Tuesday, has seen the price of gold shot through the roof in Pakistan, with the valuable commodity witnessing a Rs2,800 per tola increase.
According to Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association, after the price of gold increased by 2800 rupees, gold now stands at Rs1,45,200 per tola.
The value of 10 grams of gold has increased by Rs2,400 and is now at Rs1,24,485.
The value of one ounce of gold is now at $1,714 following another increase by a few dollars in the global exchange market.
