Gold prices again extended gains in the local market despite the appreciation of the local currency against US dollar on Wednesday.
According to the Sindh Sarafa and Jewelers Association, the price of gold increased by Rs 350 per tola and settled at Rs141,850 while the price of 10 grams of gold has gone up by Rs 300 to Rs121,613.
The increase in the prices of yellow metal in local market came after the government passed the Finance Bill 2022, giving legal effect to budgetary proposals for the next fiscal year.
The price of gold in the international market increased by $8 and was sold at $1831 against its sale at $1823.
Meanwhile, the price of per tola and ten gram silver remained stable at Rs1550 and Rs 1,328.87 respectively.
