Adidas surprises its consumers with an unexpected collaboration with Dubai-based Pakistani restaurant Ravi.

Adidas announced its limited-edition Superstar sneakers, which will be available online and at select retailers in Dubai from June 23.

The special edition green and white Superstar Ravi references to the Pakistani heritage of the restaurant’s owners.

The drop features a custom-made sock liner signifying the meaning of Ravi. The sneakers also feature the eatery’s select top six dishes, mutton Peshawari, chicken biryani, chicken tikka, daal fry, karak chai and Punjabi lassi.Every pair has the design on one shoe in English and the other in Arabic.

The heel tab mentions the restaurant’s name and the year it was established ‘1978’ as well.

The sneakers come in a limited-edition special packaging imitating a takeaway-style box.

The restaurant has been famous not only among the ex-pats and tourists but celebrities as well, including Snoop Dog.

The new edition is to celebrate communities and is part of a series of sneakers celebrating iconic eateries in 11 cities worldwide.
