Top military leadership discuss national security issues with Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The meeting comes at a time when the premier is facing a political crisis with allies deserting him ahead of the no-trust vote.
According to Aaj News the premier will take the military leadership into confidence on the political situation and will also discuss the 'letter' allegedly containing a foreign threat received by the PTI government.
Aaj News citing sources reported Wednesday that the 'letter' was sent by Pakistan Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan after his meeting with the US secretary of state.
Earlier in the day Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the letter containing foreign threat was presented before the cabinet, adding that Imran Khan will not step down as prime minister of the country.
