The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a heat wave alert in Karachi from March 24-28 and directed the authorities concerned to make precautionary measures.
According to the PMD, as per Samaa News, the weather in the metropolis is likely to rise this week, hovering between 36 degree Celsius to 38 degree Celsius. It added that hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in the province during the week.
The Met office has also advised the citizens of the metropolis to keep themselves hydrated and avoid unnecessary movement outside in the open.
According to the Met Office, temperatures as high as 34 degrees was recorded in the city on Monday with the humidity rate at 83 per cent.
Furthermore, the humidity levels in the city will also rise along with the heat wave, which will make the weather feel hotter than the actual temperature. According to the PMD, the humidity levels in the city will range from 30 to 40 percent in the evening.
