Various media outlets have reported about a man committing suicide at a shopping mall in the Federal B Industrial Area in Karachi on Tuesday evening.

According to media reports the man, identified as Syed Zohair Abbas Abidi, who was reportedly 29 years old, died after he jumped from the second floor of the mall to the lower ground floor.

Zohair went to Lucky One Mall for a job interview, according to relatives.

Social media users were sharing a video of the incident and Geo journalist Faizan Lakhani said it was a sad state of affairs.

According to the details the deceased was the resident of Ancholi and was the eldest of four siblings.

According to the relatives of the deceased, he had been looking for employment for several months.

His mother is a schoolteacher who manages the household.

The body was shifted to Ancholi Imambargah after necessary procedure at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
