The medical tests of the woman, who was assaulted, groped and harassed by at least 400 men on the Independence Day, were performed on Thursday. However, the report was not yet issued.
Meanwhile, the police have recorded statements of the woman's team members who were with her at the Greater Iqbal Park near Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore when the incident occurred.
Earlier, the Punjab IGP Inam Ghani constituted a three-member committee to probe the incident and assured the nation that those who were responsible for the sad and tragic incident would be punished.
An FIR had been registered against 400 unidentified people on the complaint of the woman on Tuesday.
The police had identified 11 suspects, while the footage from the event was sent to the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) for the identification of the culprits, reported Dawn.
Punjab government Spokesperson Fayazul Hassan Chohan apprised that the police officials, Nadra and Punjab Forensic Science Agency were making efforts to trace the accused through scientific procedure.
Besides, Nadra confirmed that the officials had started necessary proceedings to identify the culprits.
