NCOC reported 86 deaths in the last 24 hours which puts the death toll so far to 23,295.
Friday's figure of 4,537 cases of Covid is the highest since May 1 when the country reported 4,696 cases in one day.

Efforts to contain virus in Sindh
The NCOC also tweeted their concern about the virus spread in Sindh, especially Karachi, saying they plan to assist the Sindh government in containing the virus.
The federal government opposes a lockdown saying it impacts the poor and working class. At a press briefing on Thursday head of the NCOC Asad Umar said their experience showed following SOPs and smart lockdowns in hot spots was an effective strategy in containing the spread of a virus and not shutting cities down.
