The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday imposed a 10-day restriction on popular tourism destination because of the rising number of coronavirus cases.
The notification states the restrictions on tourist-related activities will take place between July 19 to July 29.
NCOC tweeted data on Wednesday showing the country's positivity rate had crossed 4%.
It showed that 1,980 tested positive in the last 24 hours of the 47,472 who tested for Covid. 24 people lost their lives according to NCOC.
The restrictions in AJK follow similar restrictions imposed by the Sindh administration which is worried about the rising number in the province. They have closed schools and disallowed indoor dining and going to gyms in a bid to bring down the numbers.
