Pakistan on Thursday has reported 46 COVID-19 related deaths and 1,119 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 37,196 coronavirus tests were taken countrywide, of which only 1,119 came out positive.
There are currently 2,494 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted to different hospitals in the country, 4 new critical cases were reported. The reported national positivity rate is 3.01%.
With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed active cases stands at 36,215. Pakistan has so far recorded 945,184 confirmed cases, 21,874 deaths, and a total of 887,095 recoveries from the novel disease.
As per the numbers shared by the Ministry of National Health Service, 93.9% of the total confirmed cases have recovered while the mortality rate is 2.3%.
Currently, most active cases are reported in Sindh (19,958) followed by Punjab (10,448), and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (3,093). There are currently 1,264 active cases in Islamabad, 474 in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, 860 in Balochistan, and 118 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Vaccination update:
According to the latest numbers shared by the NCOC, Pakistan has so far administered 12,065,211 vaccine doses. 3,107,688 people are fully vaccinated while 6,201,218 have received at least one dose.
