ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday telephones former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed political situation and strategy for Senate elections.

In the telephonic conversation, both leaders discussed preparations for carrying out a successful long march against the PTI government and agreed on to form a comprehensive strategy for upcoming polls of upper house of Parliament.

Nawaz Sharif assured all possible cooperation of PML-N to make the long march successful.

Earlier in the day, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday announced the schedule of Senate elections, which will be held on March 3.
