Lahore: In a bid to implement department's reform agenda, Higher Education Department has notified revised criteria for 4-year BS degree program.
On the orders of Secretary Higher Education Punjab Nadeem Mahbub, a notification comprising newly formulated mechanism, has been issued by the department for obtaining NOC.
On the occasion, Secretary said that with the application of this notification, the department has introduced the facility for obtaining NOC under one roof. Doing so, it has improved the process for client facilitation.
Representatives of educational institutions seeking NOC for the 4-year degree program will be able to avail services in a systematic and improved manner. These reforms shall also implement improved governance model at the departmental level, which will directly benefit educational institutions and students.
He further added that streamlining the NOC process is aimed at ensuring transparency in the system as well as eradication of red tapism. To remove the ambiguity regarding the applications, all the information related to NOC and the checklist have been uploaded on the website, in one place for the applicant.
The notification contains information on the number of faculty members for each subject, as well as classes, libraries, labs and research journals. A five-member committee has also been constituted for the inspection of applying colleges.
