In Pakistan, the novel coronavirus infection is on the rise once more. Currently, the country is heading into the second wave of viral disease.
In the last 24 hours, 707 new cases were reported in the country while 3 people died due to COVID-19.
Metropolitan cities like Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore are reporting most number of new cases. Smart lockdown is being implemented in several hotspots of these cities to contain the virus spread.
With wedding season in full flow and schools, universities opened after six months of break, the number of new cases is expected to increase in the country. The government and public health experts have warned the public to avoid unnecessary social gatherings and follow covid SOPs to keep the coronavirus at bay.
