MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has impressed upon the opposition parties to avoid attempts to bring political instability in the country pleading that it will benefit none.
Addressing the inaugural ceremonies of different projects in Multan, he said the elements who are criticizing the national institutions will not serve the purpose of protecting the national interests.
The Foreign Minister said these elements are making anti-Pakistan forces happy through their unwise approach and statements.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said we are proud of our institutions and their performance. He said we are also proud of Pakistan armed forces.
He said that government had invited the opposition to jointly thrash out proposals for free, fair and transparent elections in Gilgit Baltistan, but they refused.
Turning to Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Foreign Minister said the government highlighted the Kashmir issue at international forums and successfully countered the Indian propaganda.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the world now knows that Kashmiris need their right to self-determination be respected.
