Compared to some other states, Allah has been kind to us in Pakistan and spared us the worst effects of COVID-19. There is a fear onset of winter could result in a second wave. I urge everyone to wear face masks in public to avoid a spike. All offices and educational institutions must ensure masks are worn.

With over 314,616 confirmed COVID-19 cases, Pakistan is 21st worst-hit country in the world by this new flu bug. Also, over 6,500 people have died due to Covid-related reasons in the country. Though, Pakistan has been successful in containing the coronavirus effectively still there is a fear of a second wave of COVID-19 in the winter season.

Public health experts have also been warning the masses that a potential second wave is expected in Pakistan in next coming weeks. Countries like United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Iran have already seen serious second waves of viral disease. These countries were even forced to implement lockdown restrictions again in several cities. So it's imperative that we shouldn't take the virus lightly. We must keep following covid SOPs put in place by the government if we are to avoid a serious second wave.
