COVID-19 cases in Pakistan fall for the fourth consecutive day.
Finally, some good news regarding COVID-19 spread in our homeland has come as the number of new reported cases has been dropping for fourth consecutive day.
In Pakistan, as of today:
Novel Coronavirus infections have reached a tally of 188,926.
Number of Pakistanis that have succumbed to COVID-19 is 3,755.
The number of recoveries is 77,754.
Here are the stats of new COVID-19 cases in Pakistan in the previous four days:
JUNE 20 --- 4,951 new cases reported
JUNE 21 --- 4,471 new cases reported
JUNE 22 --- 3,946 new cases reported
JUNE 23 --- 3,892 new cases reported
But new cases are directly proportional to the number of COVID testing done, so it is important to see how many tests have been done in the last four days. Here are the stats:
June 20 --- 28,855 tests done
June 21 --- 30,520 tests done
June 22 --- 24,599 tests done
June 23 --- 23,380 tests done
Though, number of tests done in the last four days isn't very impressive and also the numbers of tests kept decreasing for some reason but still the ratio of tests done and positive cases reported in the given period shows that virus is spreading at a lesser pace now. It is a welcoming news. Experts suggest that 'Smart Lockdown' strategy of government might be working as government continues to implement this strategy in more and more hotspots across the country.
