Pakistan has witnessed a significant rise in coronavirus cases, as the toll shoot to 193, more likely to come up.
As per reports, in Punjab as some 780 suspected patients have been kept in quarantine at a university in Dera Ghazi Khan and most of them show typical symptoms of the disease( all of them pilgrims returning from Iran)
The total number of deadly coronavirus cases in Sindh Province shoots to 146, however recent cases reported also from other provinces as well.
This is the single largest increase in novel coronavirus cases in the country as of today.
Chief minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that 11 people from Taftan have tested positive in Sukkur while 12 have tetsed negative.
Coronavirus cases tally is increasing in Pakistan. Most of the cases in Pakistan are reported in Sindh with 103 cases confirmed, Gilgit Baltistan reported 3 cases, Islamabad 4 cases while one case is reported in Lahore.
15 new cases have been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all of whom were pilgrims who had returned to Pakistan via Taftan.
Ten cases have been confirmed in Balochistan, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa confirmed 15 cases.
Later in the day, Advisor to Sindh chief minister on Information Senator Murtaza Wahab said that one more case has emerged. The patient hails from Balochistan and arrived in Karachi on March 14.
In a tweet Murtaza Wahab said another 11 people who have reached the province from Taftan have tested positive.
More results have come in. So far 50 people who had arrived in Sukkur from Taftaan have tested positive, 25 at Karachi & 1 at Hyderabad. So the total patients have reached 76 in Sindh. Out of these 76 patients, 2 have recovered & the remaining 74 are being kept in isolation

According to KP health minister Taimur Khan Jhagra, total of 19 people were tested out of which 15 have been tested positive while four were tested negative.
All of the patients are under treatment in D.I. Khan, he added.
“Just received news that 15 of 19 individuals received in KP from Taftan have tested positive for Corona Virus. These are the first positive cases in KP,” said provincial Health Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra in a tweet from his official handle.

Globally, more than 6,000 people have died and more than 156,000 have been infected by COVID-19 as the disease spreads rapidly to new territories.
