Pakistan authorities are on high alert in Karachi after first case of deadly coronavirus reported on late Wednesday, three isolation wards have been established at Civil, Jinnah and Aga Khan hospitals to treat the patients infected with the coronavirus. Sindh Minister for Information, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said in an interview that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority has also been asked to take steps in this regard. He said that details of people traveled with a person reported positive for coronavirus have been sought so that they could also be screened. He stressed that federal and provincial governments work together to control the epidemic disease. Both patients have recently returned from Iran where the contracted the contagious virus. They have reached Pakistan via airplane while authorities have decided to conduct the screening of all passengers who boarded the same flight.
