The Pakistan cricket board on Thursday has been suspended wicketkeeper and middle-order batsman Umar Akmal with immediate effect, reportedly the cricketer involved in Match-fixing of Pakistan super league first match. According to the local sources, Akmal admits that he had been in contact with a person named Faisal and all arrangements regarding match-fixing, Sources revealed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initially investigated Umar and later suspended him as per the Anti-Corruption Code of PCB. Earlier yesterday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended cricketer Umar Akmal with immediate effect under Article 4.7.1* of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code, which means he cannot take part in any cricket-related activity pending the investigation being carried out by PCB's Anti-Corruption Unit.
