Full court reference held in Islamabad to pay tribute to outgoing CJP

A full court reference to pay tributes to the services of outgoing Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa for judiciary was held at the Supreme Court in Islamabad on Friday.    

The outgoing Chief Justice, in his remarks, said during his tenure, his approach mainly focused on improving the justice delivery system.

He said the principle of separation of powers was adhered to, judicial restraint was exercised and dignity and respect was ensured for all, appearing before the court.

Paying glowing tributes to the services of Asif Saeed Khosa, the Chief Justice Designate, Gulzar Ahmed said the outgoing Chief Justice has always been a great proponent of law and always strived to decide cases strictly in accordance with the law.

Justice Gulzar Ahmed will take oath as Chief Justice of Pakistan at a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad tomorrow.

President Arif Alvi will administer him the oath.
