KARACHI: Dua Mangi 20-year-old girl who was abducted by four armed men from Bukhari Commercial Area in Phase 6 of Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on November 30, gave her final statement to the police.
Dua said that she was walking with her friend Haris outside a tea hotel when two people grabbed her and put her in a car, she heard loud noises all at once and then heard shots getting fired. Dua added that her kidnappers blindfolded her due to which she wasn't able to recognise her kidnappers.
In her statement to the police, Dua disclosed that her kidnappers changed cars three times and she couldn't tell how much time had passed.
The investigation team said that Dua’s statement did not bring to light any new information.
At the time of the kidnapping, Dua was with a friend Haris Soomro, who was shot near the site where she was abducted from. Soomro was taken to a private hospital for treatment where he remains critical.
Police had lodged an FIR, naming at least four unidentified persons over Mangi’s abduction and shooting and wounding Soomro.
