Super Cyclonic Storm, Kyarr likely to move further westwards

The Super Cyclonic Storm, Kyarr, over central Arabian Sea is likely to move further westwards till tomorrow and weaken to very severe cyclonic storm during next 18 hours.

According to Met Office, Kyarr has tracked further northwestward during last 12 hours with maximum sustained surface winds of 180-200 kilometers per hour at about 720 kilometers southwest of Karachi.

There is no direct threat to any coastal area of Pakistan, however, due to exceptionally strong winds, low-lying islands may suffer by water intrusion.

Scattered dust storm and thunderstorm with rain is also expected in lower Sindh and along Makran Coast during Wednesday to Friday.

The Met Office has advised the Fishermen not to venture in open sea till tomorrow evening.
