An accountability court on Wednesday extended judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz and her cousin, Yousaf Abbas, till October 25 in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
During the proceedings today, the court asked the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation officer, when a reference would be filed in the case, to which he responded that the reference had entered the final stages of preparation and would be filed approval from the NAB chairman.
On August 8, NAB had arrested Maryam Nawaz, her cousin Yousaf Abbas in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
NAB revealed that Sharif Family had used Chaudhry Sugar Mills for money-laundering and illegal transfer of its shares.
