TEHRAN: A light 4.2 magnitude earthquake jolted south western Iran on Wednesday night.
According to the Seismography Centre of the Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 02:42 hours local time (23:12 hours GMT) and its epicentre was at 48.65 degrees longitude and 31.91 degrees latitude and in the depth of 10 km underground, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.
The area jolted for 40 times from December 30.
There was no initial report on injuries or damage caused to infrastructure following the recent tremor. –APP
