New York: UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has urged Myanmar's to immediately cease the ongoing violence against Rohingya Muslims.  

Talking to reporters in New York, he said that the levels of violence and atrocities committed are something that we cannot be silent about.

He said it is absolutely essential to address the root cause of the problem.

More than 600,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh since the violence began.—PPI
