KARACHI,:Â Provincial Minister for Health Dr Sikandar Mandhro on Tuesday said Sindh Assembly has passed Sindh Safe Blood Transfusion Bill which is aimed at to upgrade blood banks as well as to provide safe blood transfusion facility on scientific way to residents of Sindh province.
He said Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority will be established in the province soon, and this authority will be responsible to issue licenses & monitor the blood banks and ensure implementation of code of conduct in this regard.
Dr Sikandar Mandhro said Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority will operate under the supervision of health minister, and regional blood centres would be established in all divisional headquarters under this authority.
He said these blood centres would be equipped with all advanced facilities to provide safe blood to patients beside transportation blood urgently where necessary.
He said SBTA will responsible to upgrade blood banks on scientific ways throughout the province as well as monitoring, control and enforcement of the authority’s laws-PPI.
